The Lancashire artist Jamie Holman is paying 150 people £10 each to howl in unison as part of his upcoming exhibition, a memorial to the last wolf killed in England.
I find this intriguing for a few reasons the echo to the past and the beautiful creatures that no longer exist freely to roam in Modern day UK and the need to pay people to commit to the presence of their howl. Do we have to pay now for peoples time? Or is the payment part of the art work?.
One thing I know for sure is more things like this would be good for all of us. To be given a space to play and do the unusual I know after the year we’ve all had we could do with howling at the moon.
