I have just found a video on Youtube by Moby sharing his new album, its so beautiful and the visuals with his music is so exquisite. He talks about how over the years he’s had many studios often bigger and with more stuff. But he’s happiest now with his studio because its smaller and in his home. A place he feels most comfortable where he can be consumed by music making when ever he chooses too.
I can relate to this as my art studio over the years has been the kitchen table, the dining room, front room, bedroom. Places that I can have easy access too. When your a parent you need to make the most of your free time, I’ve never been someone who can wait till the children are in bed to carry on with my creative work as this is the point of the day when I am most zapped. This is my studio right now, its half studio and half dining room.
